Anti-social driving
Issued 08 October 2026
We have received reports of speeding, anti-social driving and noisy exhausts over the summer months and reports continue. Your local policing team continue to conduct targeted activity in the areas of Plymstock and Hooe, enforcing the Public Spaces Protection Order in car parks including Jennicliff. They have been supported by specialist Roads Policing colleagues and have successfully seized vehicles being driven anti-socially and reported drivers for driving offences. The Safety Camera Van has also deployed to the area to tackle speeding motorists. We acknowledge that this acts as a deterrent so will continue over the Autumn. We are also working with Vision Zero and Plymouth City Council to identify more long term sustainable solutions including the potential for noise monitoring and average speed cameras.

Youth Related Anti-social Behaviour
Issued 08 October 2026
We are aware of reports of sporadic youth related anti-social behaviour including the use of e-bikes. We will continue to take action against individuals identified and work in partnership with Plymouth City Council and our Child Centred Policing Team to conduct home visits and consider escalation where appropriate through anti-social behaviour legislation.

Retail crime
Issued 08 October 2026
We continue to conduct patrols in retail areas including the Broadway alongside Plymouth Against Retail Crime (PARC) officers to deter people from stealing from shops and businesses. We will continue to take robust action against prolific shoplifters and use civil legislation including dispersal powers to prevent people intent on committing theft from coming to the area.
